Talk about culinary candle power!

On Tuesday night, New York celebrity chef Eric Ripert hosted Bebo’s Roberto Donna and legendary food critic Phyllis Richman for dinner at his new Westend Bistro in the Ritz-Carlton.

Later, who should walk in but chef/author/TV host Anthony Bourdain, Manhattan chef/restaurateur Drew Nieporent and D.C.’s own José Andrés. Bourdain and Andrés had just finished their duties hosting the Capital Food Fight at the Reagan Building.

“People gawked and took photos,” said one food groupie who was on the scene. “One patron looked like she might faint.”

Ripert, we should also note, mingled with French President Nicolas Sarkozy earlier in the day.
