PETA pokes Fauci with mosaic photos of brutalized animals

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, upset with the use of animals to test drugs, including some at the agency COVID czar Dr. Anthony Fauci heads, today unveiled a mosaic of him made from tiny photographs of caged and brutalized animals.

The artwork, eye-catching from a distance but disturbing up close, is part of the animal rights group’s effort to stop animal testing.

The mosaic is made up of several tiny photos of monkeys and beagles, animals that have been featured in recent reports of government drug testing. The White Coat Waste Project, for example, revealed testing on beagles included cocaine.

PETA composed a mosiac of Dr. Anthony Fauci made from tiny photos of testing animals.

The group said it chose a mosaic of Fauci after media reports poked fun at the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for decorating his home office with mementos to himself, including a portrait and bobblehead.

“No one likes Anthony Fauci more than Anthony Fauci,” said PETA.

“If Anthony Fauci is going to surround himself with images of himself, they may as well be accurate,” said PETA Senior Vice President Kathy Guillermo, in a statement to Secrets. “Fauci has overseen the torment and death of countless animals in colossally ridiculous, wasteful experiments that help no one but kill animals by the score. He should be reminded of that constantly,” she added.

Criticism of NIH testing was so hot late last year that it became known as “Beaglegate.” PolitiFact looked into the charges and said it was unclear if Fauci ordered any of the tests.

PETA has been pushing an alternative to live animal testing.
