Since 1965, corporate gadfly Evelyn Y. Davis has been publishing the newsletter “Highlights and Lowlights,” where she comments on the annual shareholder meetings she’s attended and anything else on her mind. She peddles it for $600 a copy, minimum two copies, to the same CEOs she harangues. Highlights from last year’s edition:

On why she kept going to the meetings, even into her 80s: “What would we be doing with ourselves? We are a four (4) times divorcee with NO children (BY CHOICE). … One has to remain intellectually occupied.”

On the Goldman Sachs shareholder meeting, where she tangled with CEO Lloyd Blankfein: “Near the end of the 2011 GS meeting we told Lloyd ‘You are NOT a bad looking guy.’ All of a sudden, he became VERY nice!!!!”

On the Citigroup meeting, steered by CEO Vikram Pandit: “At CITIGROUP, when we handed our ballot to Vikram, a jealous female security guard stood up, and followed US. We are a lot of things, but we are NOT dangerous.”
