NASHUA, N.H. — Hillary Clinton rolled into New Hampshire with confidence after her narrow win over Bernie Sanders in Iowa, telling supporters that she expects to “win by a landslide” in the upcoming primary.
“I am well aware that a lot of political pundits … say I should have just skipped coming to New Hampshire,” Clinton told voters in Derry Wednesday morning, referring to her nearly 15 point poll effect in the Granite State.
“I have to tell you, I just could not ever skip New Hampshire,” Clinton added, “I cannot even imagine not being here.”
In New Hampshire, Sanders leads Clinton in most every poll. Her campaign has said that it is crucial to perform well in the Granite State, especially following the near-tie in Iowa, where Clinton only beat Sanders by .2 percentage points.
Clinton went on to say that she was “a little disappointed” that Sanders dealt her a “low blow” criticized her progressive record after the caucus. Sanders was asked if she was progressive enough and he replied that she was on “some good days.”
The former secretary of state raised her voice as she explained that she’s had “some good days” fighting for progressive values such as healthcare, Social Security and women’s rights.
“So I hope we keep it on the issues, because hey, if it’s about our records I’m going to win by the landslide on Tuesday,” Clinton said.
