Maryland lawmakers wants a ‘Ronald Reagan Day’

To celebrate President Ronald Reagan‘s 100th birthday seven Maryland state senators have proposed a bill that would create a “Ronald Reagan Day” to observe the former president. The day, observed on Sunday (Feb. 6), wouldn’t be a state holiday, but it would “urge the citizens of the State of Maryland to observe Ronald Reagan Day in a proper manner,” according to NBC Washington. Other Reagan-themed festivities include a tribute to be played on the Jumbotron before the kickoff of Sunday’s Super Bowl football game.
