President Trump said he’s disappointed he won’t get the chance to run against Hillary Clinton in 2020.
“‘(Crooked) Hillary Clinton confirms she will not run in 2020, rules out a third bid for White House.’ Aw-shucks, does that mean I won’t get to run against her again? She will be sorely missed!” Trump tweeted Tuesday evening.

Although she had reportedly told those close to her she hadn’t ruled out a third presidential bid, Clinton said earlier Tuesday she would not run for president in 2020. Even so, she made it clear she would speak out about issues that concerned her.
“I’m not running, but I’m going to keep on working and speaking and standing up for what I believe,” she told News 12 Westchester.
“I want to be sure that people understand I’m going to keep speaking out,” said Clinton. “I’m not going anywhere. What’s at stake in our country, the kind of things that are happening right now are deeply troubling to me. And I’m also thinking hard about how do we start talking and listening to each other again? We’ve just gotten so polarized. We’ve gotten into really opposing camps unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my adult life.”

Clinton has met with multiple 2020 presidential candidates, including Sens. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Cory Booker, D-N.J., among others.
Clinton, who was the first woman to secure a major party’s nomination, won the popular vote in the 2016 election. But she received only 232 electoral votes and lost to Trump by 74 electoral votes.
