It’s not just the candidate, Rick Santorum, who’s super into the sweater vest, it seems the preppy look has trickled down to his staffers as well. When the Washington Examiner’s Francesca Chambers visited Santorum’s headquarters Sunday in Bedford, N.H., to talk with Bill Cahill, a Santorum senior adviser and New Hampshire state co-chair, he was wearing a sweater vest. Even better, Cahill revealed that the day after that close second place finish in the Iowa Caucuses almost all of Santorum’s male New Hampshire staffers showed up wearing sweater vests. And it wasn’t planned.
Santorum talked extensively about his sweater vests to the New York Times last week, revealing he has them in navy blue, gray and tan and that he usually purchases them from JoS. A. Bank, with an occasional splurge at Brooks Brothers.
