The C. Milton Wright softball team hasn?t been blowing out its foes, but the tight competition the Mustangs have battled through in recent games could prepare them for a deep run into the state playoffs.
After a key win last Wednesday over rival Fallston distanced C. Milton Wright from the pack in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference Chesapeake Division, the Mustangs continue to roll this week.
The 12-1 Mustangs are currently undefeated in Chesapeake Division play heading into Wednesday?s 3:30 p.m. game with visiting North East of Cecil County. North East (7-2) and Perryville (5-3), which defeated Wright in the 2005 UCBAC title game, are battling it out for second place in the standings.
