Rudy Giuliani, one of President Trump’s personal attorneys, said that he would have no problem with releasing Trump’s written testimony to special counsel Robert Mueller.
“There’s nothing in there that I’d have any problem with,” Giuliani told CNN Tuesday when asked about releasing the written answers.
Giuliani’s comments directly differ with another one of Trump’s attorneys, Jay Sekulow, who said on Monday that the president’s testimony is confidential and he does not want it to be released.
The former mayor of New York said that Trump answered truthfully, and he does not oppose the testimony going public.
Guiliani also disagreed with the president during his interview with CNN, saying that he does not believe Mueller acted honorably during the Russia investigation.
Over the weekend, Attorney General William Barr said that Mueller’s report found that there was no collusion between the Trump camp and Russia.
When asked on Monday if Mueller acted honorably during the probe, Trump said, “Yes, he did.”
“I would have to disagree with my client on that,” Giuliani said Tuesday, regarding Trump’s response.
Giuliani said their assessments of Mueller’s actions during the investigation could be different because the attorney is “in the trenches more” than Trump.
