The morning after Senator Marco Rubio’s spirited performance at the GOP debate, he dedicated 11 minutes of his first post-debate rally to continue hammering his opponent, Donald Trump, suggesting that he made the businessman wet his pants.
Rubio’s surge in confidence and sudden burst of personality in his rhetoric comes after his performance in last night’s debate where he took on Trump, firing shot after shot and ironically calling Trump out for repeating himself — something Rubio had previously been accused of.
The Florida senator kept his momentum alive this morning at his rally in Texas, accusing the “con artist” of “sticking it to the little guy” before suggesting that his attacks made Mr. Trump lose control of his bladder.
Continuing his onslaught, Rubio pulled out his iPhone and began to read a stream of Trump’s tweets from Friday morning that attacked Rubio and contained numerous spelling errors.
“How does this guy, not one tweet, but three tweets, misspell words so badly?” Mr. Rubio asked an amused crowd.
“We unmasked him last night” Rubio proclaimed about Trump, adding “Friends do not let friends vote for con artists.”
Not one to let anything go, Trump fired back in a press conference Friday afternoon, calling Rubio “desperate” and a “nervous nelly” who was not “presidential.”
Mocking Rubio’s infamous water break, Trump held up a water bottle exclaiming “It’s Rubio!”
No reports yet as to whether Trump got the water on his pants.
