Prince’s half-siblings settle estate dispute: Report


The six half-siblings of singer Prince have reportedly settled a dispute involving his estate more than six years after the music icon died of a drug overdose.

Court papers show the issues involving the distribution of the $156 million in assets from the singer’s estate have been resolved, according to a report from Spin.

The six half-siblings were named heirs to the “Purple Rain” singer after he left no will at the time of his death.

The Internal Revenue Service, with the heirs to the estate and Comerica Bank, agreed on the value of the estate to the late singer being $156.4 million, which was double the previous evaluation by Comerica Bank of $82.3 million.

The pop singer, who had hits such as “Let’s Go Crazy” and “When Doves Cry,” died from an accidental fentanyl overdose in April 2016 at the age of 57, according to a medical examiner.
