NEW YORK (AP) — A Long Island grocery store owner has received a 15-year sentence for selling drugs from his business.

Jaime Corchado, of Baldwin, was convicted last month of selling a controlled substance and weapons possession. He was sentenced Tuesday.

Authorities say he sold the drugs from Louis’ Deli & Grocery in Kew Gardens, Queens.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown says the 37-year-old defendant used his mom-and-pop grocery store as a front to traffic in narcotics.
