By the middle of this month, President Trump had tweeted some 14,000 times since Inauguration Day. Now, some are asking if Twitter will survive without him.
In the Senate, the answer appears to be no. New figures of tweets from senators provided to Secrets by Crossword Solver show that the 100 members are unhealthily obsessed with Trump.
The report revealed that senators used the term “Donald Trump” in the past year more than “COVID-19” and “coronavirus” combined.

Also, the senators this year mentioned Trump 12,569 times in tweets, while only mentioning Biden 486 times.
And in a sign that Democrats will really miss Trump on Twitter, “Donald Trump” was the top term tweeted by every Democratic senator except California Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
Crossword Solver also took a shot at figuring out who writes the smartest tweets using the Flesch-Kincaid grade level readability test. We’re just reporting here, but Republicans tweet at a slightly higher grade, 10.58, than Democrats, 10.40.
And the brightest bulb is Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski at 11.76. The dimmest is Hawaii Democratic Sen. Brian Schatz at 8.19, still junior high.
