Donald Trump said Thursday he’s much more interested in seeing Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails than he is in seeing Clinton’s transcripts of speeches that she gave to Wall Street banks.
“I don’t think the transcripts mean much to be,” Trump told Fox News. “What do mean something are the 33,000 emails she deleted. That’s what I think she should give up.”
Trump said there is one way to find the deleted emails Clinton had sent and received as secretary of state. He said any time someone is in litigation, “it’s virtually impossible to get rid of emails.”
However, Trump said he would not be willing to make his tax returns public from the years not currently being audited in return for Clinton’s transcripts.
Trump has focused his attention this week on calling out Clinton’s lost emails in response to last weekend’s leak of 20,000 Democratic National Committee emails, which indicate the DNC was working to ensure Clinton became the nominee.
On Wednesday, Trump suggested that Russia should release Clinton’s deleted emails if Russia happened to have them.
