DNC chair: Obamacare ‘blowing up’ like Trump is ‘winning the election’

Democratic National Committee interim Chair Donna Brazile said on Tuesday that Donald Trump’s claim earlier in the day that Obamacare is “blowing up” was as unbelievable as the Republican nominee’s belief he will win the Oval Office.

“Trump’s latest claim that the Affordable Care Act is ‘blowing up’ is as unfounded as his claim that he’s ‘winning the election,'” Brazile charged in a statement released late Tuesday.

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump issued a statement linking Clinton’s push for socialized medicine to President Obama’s comparing the healthcare plan to the failed Samsung phone.

“Today’s admission by the Obama Administration that ObamaCare is an unaffordable disaster should come as a surprise to no one, and this only reaffirms the American public’s belief that the entire program was one big lie,” Trump wrote. “Not only are they now willing to admit that health insurance premiums under ObamaCare are going to skyrocket by 25%, they still aren’t telling us the truth!”

The DNC spokeswoman defended Democrats’ healthcare plan despite Obama’s admission last week. Brazile touted the 20 million Americans who received healthcare under Obamacare and defended rising subsidies as a way to keep the plans affordable.
