Trump insults hurled during rants about ‘bitch’ and ‘slob’ media figures detailed in new book

President Trump reportedly made a variety of disparaging remarks about well-known media personalities during rants about those whom he perceives as hostile.

The president referred to MSNBC reporter Katy Tur as “that bitch with the tranny dad,” according to a new book by Daily Beast reporters Lachlan Markay and Asawin Suebsaeng, titled Sinking in the Swamp: How Trump’s Minions and Misfits Poisoned Washington.

Tur and Trump have had a contentious relationship, including a tense exchange regarding Hillary Clinton’s missing emails during a 2016 press conference. Tur’s father, formerly known as Bob Tur, now identifies as a woman named Zoey and has been a vocal critic of Trump, dating back to 2016 when the former helicopter pilot referred to the future president as a “mentally ill fascist.”

Trump also had choice words for Meghan McCain, daughter of late Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain, whom the president also criticizes often. According to the book, the president made comments about The View co-host’s weight and referred to her as a “slob” who dresses like a “truck driver.”

The late senator’s daughter has responded to Trump’s criticism of her father with attacks of her own over the years, even calling the president “pathetic.”

The McCain-Trump feud seemed to intensify in July of 2015 when McCain slammed Trump’s supporters by saying he was “firing up the crazies.” A few days later, Trump attacked McCain’s military service by insisting he couldn’t be a “war hero” because he was a prisoner of war and saying, “I like people that weren’t captured.”

The feud between the families has continued to escalate since then. The president was not invited to McCain’s funeral, and Trump has taken shots at the late senator even after his 2018 death.

The book also touches on salacious quotes and stories regarding Trump’s relationship with Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Abby Huntsman, Rosie O’Donnell, and others.
