Sacramento Kings and Boston Celtics call for action after unarmed black man killed by police: WATCH

Players from the Sacramento Kings and Boston Celtics came together to call for unity and action in the wake of the death of Stephon Clark, who was shot by Sacramento police despite being unarmed last week.

Clark was shot and killed by Sacramento police when he lifted up his hands, following a police order, in which he held a cellphone. Police reportedly mistook that cellphone for a gun. Clark was shot 20 times.

The Kings’ game on Thursday was delayed by protests outside the arena that blocked spectators from entering. The game eventually started and the team’s owner addressed the community after the contest.

The Kings and Celtics wore T-shirts during warm-ups before their game Sunday with the words “Accountability. We are one.” on the front and “#StephonClark” on the back.
