President Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, says he has an “enormous number” of witnesses who prove the president paid off two women to protect his family.

Michael Cohen, the president’s former fixer, claimed Trump paid hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal to help his 2016 presidential campaign.

The payments were made close to the 2016 election and not publicly disclosed at the time.

Cohen was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison for several crimes, including campaign finance violations.

“I can produce an enormous number of witnesses that say the president was very concerned about how this was going to affect his children, his marriage,” Giuliani told ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday. “I know what he was concerned about. I can produce 20 witnesses to tell you what he was concerned about.”

When pushed on the timing of the payments to Daniels and McDougal, Giuliani said he was not aware if Trump has made any payments to other women in the past in exchange for their silence to protect his family.

“The amount of money is consistent with harassment, not truth. I’ve been involved in cases like this. When it’s true and you have the kind of money the president has, it’s a $1 million settlement. When it’s not true, when it’s a harassment settlement and it’s not true, you give them $130,000, $150,000,” he said.

Cohen has said he acted at the direction of Trump in making the payment to Daniels. The parent company of the National Enquirer has admitted to paying McDougal for her story, after a meeting with Trump and Cohen, which the publication then refused to publish.

Trump has insisted that he committed no wrongdoing.
