Sports journalist Jason Whitlock slammed NBA superstar LeBron James after the Los Angeles Lakers forward posted and deleted a tweet threatening a police officer who shot and killed a teenager attacking another person with a knife.
“LeBron James, like other elites, is using racial division as a distraction as elites reshape America to be more like communist China,” Whitlock tweeted Wednesday. “Elites prefer communism. Millionaire elites are protected by communism. They’re the ‘Talented Tenth’ W.E.B. Du Bois promoted. You’re being played.”

Earlier in the day, James posted a photo of a police officer who shot and killed a teenager that was attempting to stab another person in Columbus, Ohio, with the caption “you’re next” in reference to the recent murder conviction of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. James later deleted the tweet.
“Communism makes it nearly impossible to rise above your birth class,” Whitlock continued in a Twitter thread. “Maybe you’ll hit genetics lottery and become a pro athlete… Democracy-capitalism-freedom-America more class elevation than any other country.”
The longtime sportswriter explained that “race is being used to divide and fool the 90% of us who have foolishly come to take American freedom for granted” and that elites in America are “imposing rigged communist system.”
16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant was shot and killed by police Tuesday afternoon just minutes before the Chauvin verdict was announced, and the body camera footage shows police yelling “get down” moments before the teenager was shot as she appeared to swing a knife at another female individual.

“We know, based on this footage, the officer took action to protect another young girl in our community,” interim Columbus Police Chief Michael Woods said about the incident.
