Republicans in Nevada had hoped to keep Sharron Angle from making a repeat of her disastrous Senate candidacy this year. One of the possibilities had always been to convince her to run instead for the House. It looks like she is going to do just that.
No one knows yet what district she will be running for, as the map is yet to be drawn, but it will probably include much of the territory currently represented by Rep. Dean Heller, R, who is running for an open U.S. Senate seat. Democrats control the state legislature, but they will have to produce a map that Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval, R, is willing to sign. They are expected to carve out the state’s new fourth seat for themselves, but they probably won’t be able to make the state’s predominantly Republican northern seat significantly more Democratic than it is now.

Angle will not be the only major GOP candidate, though. One possible contender is Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki, who declined to challenge Reid last time right after a trumped-up indictment against him was thrown out by a judge.
