Actress-turned-political activist Alyssa Milano has broken her silence over a woman accusing Joe Biden of sexual assault.
Milano has been an outspoken Biden supporter for his bid for the White House and a proponent of the #MeToo movement. She said earlier this month that she was staying “quiet about” the accusations from Tara Reade, who claimed that Biden pushed her against a wall and penetrated her with his fingers in 1993 when she was his Senate aide.

Biden’s presidential campaign has denied the allegation.
Milano spoke up after a former neighbor of Reade’s told Business Insider that she knew about the allegations decades ago and a video clip emerged of Larry King talking to a woman, who Reade claims was her mother, calling into his show in the 1990s to ask for advice about her daughter, who had “problems” working for a “prominent senator.”
I’m aware of the new developments in Tara Reade’s accusation against Joe Biden. I want Tara, like every other survivor, to have the space to be heard and seen without being used as fodder. I hear and see you, Tara. #MeToo

“I’m aware of the new developments in Tara Reade’s accusation against Joe Biden. I want Tara, like every other survivor, to have the space to be heard and seen without being used as fodder. I hear and see you, Tara. #MeToo,” Milano tweeted Tuesday.
The tweet follows that of another Hollywood star, Susan Sarandon, who also signaled her support for Reade.
Sarandon, who supported Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’s now-ended White House bid, tweeted out a story on Saturday from the Intercept regarding the credibility of Tara Reade’s accusation that Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993. The headline of the piece read, “New evidence supporting credibility Of Tara Reade’s allegation against Joe Biden emerges.”
