WHAT: Compares a news photo of Rick Perry not putting his hand over his heart, as Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann were doing before last week’s presidential debate, to a similar photo of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Bill Richardson sharing a stage four years ago. WHY IT’S DIM: Benen wonders if “the picture of the Republican candidates will lead to widespread questions about Perry’s patriotism?” Only if Perry goes on a world apology tour after becoming president of the United States.

CURE: Highly unlikely.
