Fox News Channel more than tripled CNN in prime-time total viewers during the second quarter of 2019.
The Fox News prime-time lineup of Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham averaged 2,387,000 viewers in the second quarter of the year, according to Nielsen Media Research. It marks the 70th consecutive month the network beat out the other cable news channels in viewership.
MSNBC came in second over the same time period, with an average audience of 1,674,000 people. Then, slotting in at fifteenth was CNN, which averaged 761,000 viewers in prime time.
Hannity, Carlson, and Ingraham came in at first, second, and fourth in total audience for specific programs during the second quarter, with Hannity eclipsing 3.15 million viewers.
None of CNN’s prime-time anchors — Anderson Cooper, Chris Cuomo, or Don Lemon — averaged on audience of over a million people. Cuomo led the way with 910,000 viewers, which came in as the 25th-highest average audience.
