INDUSTRY, Calif. (AP) — Human remains have been found at a trash processing plant in Southern California — for the fourth time in two years.

An employee sorting trash found the remains Monday night on a conveyor belt at Athens Services in the unincorporated Bassett area of Los Angeles County.

Sheriff’s Deputy Crystal Hernandez says the decomposed remains appear to be a woman’s but the coroner will try to confirm that and find the cause of death.

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune (http://bit.ly/1teMJiy ) says remains from other bodies were found at the plant in recent years: a newborn girl in December of 2012 whose death was ruled homicide; a man in July of 2013 whose death was ruled accidental, and a woman last December who died from a drug overdose.
