Krispy Kreme is offering a sweet deal with a new promotion that will match the cost of a dozen doughnuts to the average gas price in the United States through the end of the summer travel season.
Every Wednesday through Aug. 31, Krispy Kreme will price its original glazed dozen based on the national average price of a gallon of regular gas at participating locations in the U.S.

“We know everyone could use a little doughnut deflation to sweeten the recent pain at the pump. So, each Wednesday through the summer driving season until Labor Day we are helping you fill your tank with Original Glazed Dozens by pricing them at the cost of the national average of 1 gallon of regular gas,” the company said in a press release.
The price of each Wednesday’s dozen will be announced on Tuesdays and posted on the company’s social media pages for the next day to be redeemed by customers in-store, in drive-thrus, and through online pickup.

For this Wednesday, the price for an original glazed dozen stands at $4.21. The typical cost of a dozen glazed doughnuts is $7.99, according to realmenuprices.com.
