Sean Hannity snags first post-North Korea summit interview with Trump

President Trump will give his first interview after his historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to Fox News host Sean Hannity, the cable news network said Monday.

“Trump will react to holding the first-ever summit between a sitting U.S. president and a North Korean leader, the outcome of the meeting, and future relations between the U.S. and North Korea,” a Fox News spokeswoman wrote in a statement.

Hannity, a strident supporter of Trump, has become a “shadow” White House chief of staff to the president, the Washington Post reported in April.

The pair regularly speak on the phone, and Hannity dined with Trump at the president’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., in March.

Trump’s first interaction with Kim will take place on Tuesday morning Singapore time in a one-on-one closed door meeting, with the exception of personal translators. Aides of both heads of state will then be invited to subsequent sessions.

The president’s interview, to be shot at the Capella Hotel on Sentosa Island in Singapore where the summit will be held, is expected to air on Fox News at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
