DETROIT (AP) — The American Federation of Teachers is getting its hands dirty at an urban agriculture event ahead of its convention in Detroit.

The union on Thursday plans a “healthy living through healthy foods” event at a community garden set up by Detroit-based nonprofit Urban Farming. There will be demonstrations about starting a garden, vegetable harvesting and cooking healthy foods.
