Prince William County wants answers on illegal immigrants

Prince William County is going to ask Congress to subpoena Immigration and Customs Enforcement for information it requested in November to determine what happened to the illegal immigrants the county turned over to ICE, The Washington Post reports.

The county had sought the information in the wake of an incident last August in which Carlos Martinelly Montano, an illegal immigrant twice released by the federal government, killed a nun in an alleged drunken driving crash.

A report on why Martinelly Montano was released is scheduled to be made public next week, the Post reported.
