Clintons prepare to blanket talk-show circuit

Late Night

No, there’s nothing wrong with your remote. The Clintons really are on every channel.

Following Thursday night’s appearance by Hillary on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” she appears on the season premiere of the “Ellen Degeneres Show” this coming Tuesday.

Not to be outdone, hubby Bill, who’s busy hawking his new book, “Giving,” has two TV spots of his own on Tuesday: on “The Oprah  Winfrey Show” and Letterman. He’ll also be on CNN’s “Larry King Live” on Wednesday.

Not that bookers are ignoring the other candidates. Sen. John McCain appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” this past Tuesday.

Sen. Barack Obama will be taping an interview for the “Tyra Banks Show” next month.

And although Oprah Winfrey hasn’t had any of the contenders on her show, you can’t exactly call her uninvolved. She has endorsed Obama and is hosting an A-list fundraiser for him at her home next Saturday.
