Shots fired again at Marine museum

Shots were fired overnight at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, police said, the fourth recent shooting at a D.C.-area military-related facility.

Several shots hit the building sometime after the building closed Thursday, said Officer Jonathan Perok, a Prince William County police spokesman. No one was in the museum at the time.

The FBI said Thursday that the same weapon was used to fire at a Marine Corps recruiting station in Chantilly, the Pentagon and a previous incident at the museum.

Perok said it’s too early to tell whether the same gun was used in the most recent shooting.

The first incident at the museum was Oct. 17. In all of the shootings, the buildings were unoccupied and no one has been injured.
