There certainly has been plenty of speculation about Demi Moore the past few weeks. But one thing that seems certain is that the actress is in a treatment facility.
There has been a lot talk about Demi being at home after her ex-husband Bruce Willis and future ex-husband Ashton Kutcher were spotted visiting her L.A. house.
E! News reports Demi is being treated at Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah, for an eating disorder and addiction issues. “She’s on total lockdown and only talking to a small group of people,” a source told E!.
According to Us magazine, the facility is known for its individualized approach to addiction treatment. The super-posh Cirque Lodge has also helped Lindsay Lohan, Mary-Kate Olsen and Eva Mendes overcome their addictions.
Demi, 49, was rushed to a hospital on Jan. 23 after a 911 call came in saying she was experiencing seizure-like symptoms. The actress, who was in rehab in the mid-’80s for drug and alcohol abuse, split with Ashton in November.
People magazine says, however, friends have been worried about her for much longer.
“Really, it was over the last year her friends saw a change,” a source told the magazine. “She wasn’t sleeping as well, didn’t seem to be eating and looked really gaunt.”
Perhaps Ashton’s wandering eye wasn’t to blame for the split after all. Us claims Demi’s substance abuse is what drove a wedge between the two — and it’s only gotten worse since he left.
“She knows she’s in a bad place and needs help,” a source told Us. “Rehab is the only thing she can do right now. She needed something serious to get her back on track.”
Kim gets a scare from a stranger, decides to move
Kim Kardashian isn’t just shopping around for a new professional athlete, she’s shopping around for a new house, too.
TMZ says after a strange man rang her doorbell and insisted she invite him to stay with her, she’s so freaked out she’s decided to move.
The police were called to her home late Saturday night after the stranger showed up on her doorstep with luggage in tow.
The gossip site says she isn’t sure where she wants to put down roots, but she refuses to live in any house that doesn’t have round-the-clock gated security.
Sources tell TMZ that Kim is house-shopping in several exclusive gated communities in the L.A. area, including Bel Air and Mulholland Estates, where both Charlie Sheen and Paris Hilton own houses.
