One person was shot in the chest at the Washington, D.C., Metro Center during an officer-involved shooting, according to reports.
All trains were brought to a standstill following reports that shots were fired in the station. A Washington police officer confirmed to the Washington Examiner that one person was killed.

The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to NBC4 that the shooting involved an officer from another agency.
The Red Line is currently single-tracking due to police activity. The Orange, Silver, and Blue lines are operating normally.
