While Michaele and Tareq Salahi have started charging for appearances at nightclub parties, it looks as though White House crasher No. 3 will show up for free.
Carlos Allen was spotted last week at an ’80s ZZ Top party at Tattoo Bar, an event he was “actually” invited to by Glittarazzi blogger and club promoter Kelly Ann Collins via Facebook.
“The party was called Legs. … He caught the tail end of the party,” Collins said about Allen’s 1:30 a.m. arrival.
Well-dressed and confident, Allen rolled up with four friends and declined drinks during his 15-minute stay. His presence caused a stir in the club, with whispers of “Hey, isn’t that Carlos Allen?” swirling.
“When I mentioned the news, it didn’t seem like it bothered him at all,” Collins said of her conversation with Allen about the crashing debacle. “He was like, ‘Oh, it’s OK.’ ”
Allen gave his first televised interview Monday on ABC’s “Good Morning America” with anchorwoman Robin Roberts, an attendee with whom he dined with at the state dinner.
Allen recounted his whereabouts the day of the event, recalling an initial stop at the White House, then a trip to the Willard where he joined the Indian delegation.
“I was invited. I actually got an invitation in the mail. I have the actual invite,” Allen said, unable to account for why his name was not on the invitation and why he has no other proof.
Allen will appear on CNN’s “Larry King Live” on Tuesday.
