Former President Donald Trump commemorated the late conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh during his speech at CPAC on Sunday.

“I also want to pay my love and respect to the great Rush Limbaugh, who is watching closely and smiling down on us. He is watching, he is loving it, and he loves Kathryn,” Trump said, addressing Limbaugh’s wife.
Trump’s speech is the first major public appearance he has made since he left office in January.

Since he became a private citizen, the former president remained relatively quiet, although resurfaced to make a media appearance to discuss Limbaugh’s death.
Limbaugh died earlier this month after battling lung cancer at the age of 70.
