Police say they believe another woman is the victim of a man who has been cutting young women and teenage girls at Fairfax County retail stores.
A 21-year-old woman reported Monday that she was cut on June 8 at the T.J. Maxx at the Fairfax Towne Center.
The woman told authorties she felt a pinch on her buttocks, turned around and saw a man picking up clothing. At the time, the woman thought she may have been cut by a hanger, police said.
The woman found cuts in her clothing. She did not need medical treatment.
The incident is similar to five others reported since February throughout the county. The most recent happened on July 25, when a man cut an 18-year-old woman at the Forever XXI store at the Fair Oaks Mall at about 5:30 p.m., police said.
The man is believed to be using a box cutter or razor. Police have described the suspect as Hispanic, in his late 20s, about 5-foot-6 and having a heavy build.
