An American Airlines employee has been suspended following an altercation flight with a passenger carrying a baby in a video that has gone viral.
Video of the incident’s aftermath posted online by Facebook user Surain Adyanthaya shows the woman sobbing after a flight attendant allegedly hitting her with the stroller she was bringing on the plane. Another passenger stands up for the woman and chastises the American Airlines worker and says, “You almost hurt a baby.”
The plane’s crew member then challenges the passenger to a fight while the woman carrying the baby continues to sob. The crying woman was reportedly removed from the plane while at the gate in San Francisco, while the flight attendant stayed aboard the plane.
After initially saying it would investigate the incident, American Airlines suspended the employee, Reuters reported.
The American Airlines incident follows an altercation on a United Airlines flight earlier this month when a passenger was involuntarily removed from the plane.
