More and more Americans are viewing Hillary Clinton as untrustworthy and unfavorable as the former secretary of state attempts to roll out her 2016 presidential campaign.

According to a CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday, the share of Americans who have an unfavorable opinion of Clinton is at its highest point since March 2001.

Specifically, 50 percent of individuals view Clinton unfavorably. Her favorability rating — 46 percent — has sunk to its lowest level since March 2003.

And, the percentage of Americans who deem Clinton “honest and trustworthy” has declined with her favorability. A significant 57 percent of American voters would not describe the former secretary of state as such, a figure that has increased by 8 percentage points since March when reports of her private email account first broke.

In contrast, only 42 percent believe the phrase “honest and trustworthy” applies to Clinton.

Clinton appears to have lost the least support among young Americans, as 55 percent of 18-to-34 year olds still view the Democratic presidential candidate favorably despite her twin scandals.

Likewise, Millennials are the most likely age group to view Clinton as trustworthy, with 51 percent agreeing the characteristic applies to her.

Curiously, a Quinnipiac University poll released back in April suggested that American Millennials were actually least likely to label Hillary trustworthy amid her email and Clinton Foundation controversies.

Despite Clinton’s sinking favorability, she still emerges as the top choice for president among American voters, though her numbers against Republican contenders have declined significantly even since April.

The CNN/ORC poll was conducted between May 29 and 31 and involved 1,025 adult Americans.
