FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Historical Society has released the next installment of its smartphone application with guides to points highlighted by historical markers around the state.
The new segment focuses on the University of Kentucky historical markers, which are created by the senior classes at UK. A committee picks a topic, raises funds for the marker, researches and writes the text and works with the historical society to produce the marker each year.
