Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on Wednesday criticized the media coverage of Covington Catholic High School students who were depicted in a viral video of an encounter with protesters during the March for Life in Washington, D.C., last week.

“Unfortunately for the students of Covington Catholic High School, their participation has resulted in threats on their lives,” said McConnell, who represents Kentucky. “Far left activists and and members of the national and state media isolated a very few seconds of video footage, straight out of context, and many decided it was time to attack and denigrate these young people.”
