That was former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld taking in the Caps’ heartbreaking Game 7 loss at Verizon Center on Wednesday night. He and his wife, Joyce (who was decked out in red Caps garb), had good seats in the lower level, right on the blue line.
But they didn’t stick around until the bitter end. With the Caps hopelessly behind, the couple left after the second period.
Also spotted: Ben Stiller, in town for Thursday night’s premiere of “Night at the Museum 2,” having dinner with his wife, Christine Taylor, at Geranio in Old Town Alexandria on Wednesday night.
On Thursday morning, Stiller and Taylor, like seemingly every other celeb who’s come into town throughout the last three months, stopped by the White House for a tour.
His co-star Robin Williams opted instead for a visit to Georgetown before the premiere. He was spotted carrying hundreds of dollars worth of books from Bridge Street Books before stopping at Lorenzo men’s clothing store.
