FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe voted in the 2016 Republican presidential primary, but not the general election.
McCabe’s participation in the general election has been thrust into the spotlight after the Washington Post reported President Trump asked McCabe, the then acting FBI director, whom he voted for in the 2016 election.
The question came after Trump had fired former FBI Director James Comey. McCabe reportedly told Trump he did not vote.
CNN reported Wednesday that the 2016 general election was the first time since 2007 that he did not participate in Virginia’s general election.
