NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — In a story April 24 about violence and political changes in South Sudan, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Casie Copeland, an International Crisis Group analyst, said that the country’s former director of military intelligence is an ethnic Nuer. Copeland says that he is an ethnic Dinka.
