Women “earn less in America because they choose to,” are “less ambitious, and I think this is sort of God’s way, this is nature’s way of saying women should be at home with the kids – they’re happier there,” asserted commentator Gavin McInnes in an explosive debate that caused Fox host Sean Hannity to cringe and cover his face, while fellow guest Tamara Holder’s jaw literally dropped.
In an explosive debate last night over feminism, Vice Media Co-founder McInnes said: “Most women are happier at home, they are pretending that they like working. They don’t go the extra mile. They don’t work all weekend.”
In the back-and-forth that followed, McInnes told Holder that she was making a mistake working: “You would be much happier at home with a husband and children!”
“Oh boy!” said Hannity, cringing.
“Your comments are absolutely deplorable,” Holder told McInnes.
“Look, you’re miserable,” added McInnes. “You’d be so much happier with kids around you tonight … Feminism has made women miserable. Women were much happier when housewives were glorified.”
McInnes’ comments are “absolutely disgusting” and a “disservice” to Fox’s viewers, responded Holder, who at times was so shocked by McInnes’ comments that she was left literally mouth agape.
