Unlike many other prominent Republicans, former House Speaker John Boehner will indeed be attendence at the Republican National Convention in July.
While Boehner is going, former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, as well as 2012 nominee Mitt Romney, all announced they will not be attending the July. A Boehner spokesman confirmed the news to the Washington Examiner.
“Yes, he is planning to attend the convention in his home state of Ohio,” the spokesman said in an email.
Boehner made news toward the end of the nomination campaign calling Sen. Ted Cruz “Lucifer in the flesh” and that he never worked with a “more miserable son of a bitch” in his life.
