D.C.-area residents hoping for a rain- and thunderstorm-free week after Friday’s tornadoes might be out of luck.
The National Weather Service reports there’s a chance of rain each day through Thursday.
Today, there’s a chance of showers between noon and 10 p.m., with thunderstorms predicted between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Forecasters are predicting a 30-percent chance of precipitation.
There’s also a 30-percent chance of rain Tuesday, which forecasters expect will occur mainly after 11 a.m. Wednesday, there’s a 40-percent chance of precipitation during the day and a 30-percent chance of precipitation at night, with possible thunderstorms after 2 p.m.
Thursday, there could be showers and thunderstorms, with the Weather Service predicting a 30-percent chance of rain.
By the weekend, forecasters said the weather is expected to be warm and mostly sunny. The high temperatures through Thursday are predicted to be in the 70s, but the high temperatures Friday, Saturday and Sunday are expected to be in the 80s in the District.
