Hundreds of Trump supporters line streets welcoming him to post-presidency life at Mar-a-Lago

Hundreds of supporters of former President Donald Trump lined the streets in Southern Florida, welcoming him to his post-presidency home.

“We want to show him he’s not alone,” Daniel Rakus, a 65-year-old Palm Beach resident, said as Trump’s motorcade drove by on the way to his Mar-a-Lago resort on Wednesday. “He did a great job. We support him.’”

Trump’s motorcade was seen on video driving slowly down the street as large crowds of people cheered and waved signs.

“That’s not slowmo, President Trump’s motorcade is slowly making its way east on Southern Boulevard to Mar-a-Lago. As he went by he was waving at supporters,” Local 10 News reporter Ian Margol tweeted.

“We will be back in some form,” Trump told supporters earlier in the day in Washington, D.C., before boarding Air Force One for the flight to Florida.
