Report: Heritage Foundation cold calling for Trump posts

The conservative Heritage Foundation is cold-calling potential political appointees for a potential Donald Trump administration, according to recent reports.

A template questionnaire was found to have been emailed to potential appointees for the administration. The questionnaire comes as Trump has been slipping in several polls in the race for the White House.

Buzzfeed News reported Saturday that it obtained an email being sent out to potential candidates for a Trump administration. The email contains a questionnaire and refers to the “next presidential administration,” the website reported Saturday.

The email is part of the foundation’s “Restore America Project,” which the think tank said has been building an “impressive roster of conservatives for potential service in the next presidential administration.”

“I need to assess your interest in serving as a presidential appointee in an administration that will promote conservative principles,” the email said.

It asks for the questionnaires and a resume or bio by Oct. 26.
