President-elect Trump is rejecting reports that his eldest daughter Ivanka will occupy the first lady’s office in the White House.
“In response to the report about Ivanka: This is false,” Hope Hicks, a spokeswoman for the Trump transition team, told the Washington Examiner Wednesday afternoon.
“No decisions regarding Ivanka’s involvement have been made,” Hicks added.
CNN reported earlier Wednesday that Trump’s 35-year-old daughter, who has been deeply involved in his transition operation and is expected to relocate to Washington once her father takes office, would move into the East Wing space typically reserved for the first lady.

Trump’s wife, Melania, is expected to remain in New York City during the first few months of her husband’s presidency until their 10-year-old son, Barron, finishes out the 2016-17 academic year.
Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, has also been a key player in the president-elect’s transition and is likely to take on a role in the Trump administration come January. Earlier this month, CNN separately reported that the couple has been house hunting in Washington.
While Trump’s wife Melania has indicated her primary focus as first lady will be the issue of cyberbullying, Ivanka is said to have a number of areas, including environmental issues and child care costs, in which she hopes to steer her father’s policy agenda.
It is still unclear whether she will remain involved in her father’s business in some capacity, along with her two brothers, Don Jr. and Eric Trump.
