PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is touring Quebec and Philadelphia later this month, and will feature music from the video game “The Legend of Zelda” in the second of two Philadelphia concerts.
Music director Manfred Honeck will conduct the orchestra at the Lanaudiere Festival in Quebec on July 21 and 22 and the first concert at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia on July 24.
German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser will be the guest soloist at the concerts on July 21 and 24.
The July 25 concert, also at the Mann Center, will be a Pops concert performance of “The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses” based on the popular video game. Large game screens and video will accompany the music.
