Former White House adviser and Trump 2016 campaign chair Steve Bannon was seen in the company of Michael Wolff, author of the Fire and Fury book that engulfed President Trump’s White House in controversy earlier this year.
Politico reporter Annie Karni on Tuesday posted a photo on Twitter that showed Bannon on a rooftop with a view of Capitol Hill, apparently covering the election results for his Citizens of the American Republic political nonprofit organization. Nearby was Wolff, apparently looking at his own phone.
“Special guest at Bannon’s livestream overlooking the capital [sic]: Michael Wolff. ‘Just watching,’ he says,” wrote Karni in her tweet.
Bannon did not immediately turn a request for comment from the Washington Examiner. He was an on-record source for some of the most explosive parts of Wolff’s book. Hewas ousted from the White House in August but remained active in the midterm elections.
